What the service is

You send a piece of work. You receive detailed written comments on it within 5 days. That is the service, and the five-day turnaround applies to every tier rather than only the expensive one.

It is a separate service from lessons, priced by the length of the work rather than by the hour, and it can be ordered on its own. On the £100 and £200 tiers a 30-minute call to go through the comments is included in the price.

Guidance only — Archie never writes any part of the work

This is the line, and it does not move. Archie never writes any part of the work: no sentences, paragraphs, calculations or conclusions are supplied for the student to paste in. The student writes every word of their own work.

It is worth being blunt about why, because it is the question most parents are really asking. Coursework and internal assessments are examined work. Every school and every exam board requires that the work be the student’s own, and a student who submits something written for them risks far more than a poor grade. Any service that offers to “improve” a draft by rewriting it is offering something a student cannot safely accept.

What is offered here is the opposite of that: comments on the work, handed back for the student to act on. The student remains responsible for their own work and for following their school’s and their exam board’s rules. This is also set out in the terms of service.

The three tiers

Priced by the length of the work, not by subject or level. Written comments are returned within 5 days in all three.

Coursework feedback tiers and prices
Length of workPriceWhat is included
Up to 750 words£50Detailed written comments within 5 days. Written comments only — no call.
Up to 1,500 words£100Detailed written comments within 5 days, plus a 30-minute call to go through them.
Up to 3,000 words£200Detailed written comments within 5 days, plus a 30-minute call to go through them.

Each tier is an upper word count, so count the words before ordering. If you are not sure which tier a piece of work falls into, email cogniviatutoring@gmail.com before you order.

What subjects and levels this covers

The same four subjects Cognivia teaches, at the same levels:

Subjects
Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Economics.
Levels
IGCSE, GCSE, A-Level, and the IB at Standard and Higher Level.

That covers IB internal assessments such as the mathematical exploration and the equivalent write-ups in Physics, Chemistry and Economics, extended essays in those subjects, and A-Level coursework. IB Maths lessons are set out on the IB Maths page.

Those four subjects are what Cognivia Tutoring covers, so they are what feedback is offered on. If your work sits outside them, or you are not sure whether it counts, email the question before ordering: cogniviatutoring@gmail.com.

How to order and pay

  1. Count the words and pick a tierUp to 750 words, up to 1,500, or up to 3,000. The price follows the length of the work.
  2. Pay at the checkoutPayment is taken by Stripe when you order — card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. On the £100 and £200 tiers you choose the call time, at least 5 days ahead, in the same booking.
  3. Email the workSend it to cogniviatutoring@gmail.com. The 5 days run from when the work arrives.
  4. Read the comments, then talk on the callOn the £100 and £200 tiers the 30-minute call is included in the price, and is booked and paid for in the same booking, at least 5 days ahead. This is set out in the terms of service.

Cancellations and refunds for feedback work differently from lessons, because the work begins as soon as it arrives. The rules are set out in the refund policy.

How this relates to lessons

It does not depend on them. Coursework feedback is a standalone service: you can order it without ever having booked a lesson, and you can take lessons without ever ordering feedback. Neither is a gateway to the other.

Lessons are 1 hour, 1:1, at £45 an hour online or £55 in person around Marylebone for IB, A-Level, TMUA and ESAT, and £40 or £50 for IGCSE and GCSE. Coursework feedback is priced separately, by word count.

If you are not sure which of the two would help more, the free 30-minute online trial is a reasonable place to ask. It needs no card, and it is a conversation rather than a sales call.

Book the free 30-minute online trial and bring a topic you find difficult. You will see how Archie explains it and whether his teaching suits you before paying anything, and no card is needed. After every paid lesson, parents receive a short note on what was covered and what to practise next, so progress stays visible.
