Every review here is from a family who has paid for lessons with Archie Dyer. Nothing is offered in exchange, and nothing is edited to remove criticism. Cognivia Tutoring is one tutor with a small number of families, so reviews are few and are added as they arrive.

The better test: try a lesson before paying
Grades show that a tutor knows the subject. They do not show how well the tutor teaches it, and a handful of reviews cannot prove that either. The free 30-minute trial exists for exactly that reason.
Bring a topic you find difficult and ask Archie to explain it.
Try an exam-style question together and see whether you come away knowing how to approach the next one on your own.
Ask how he would prepare you for your own course, exam board and assessments.
The trial is online on Google Meet, costs nothing and needs no card. If it is not the right fit, nothing further happens.
In Archie’s words: “I find where the understanding actually breaks down, which is usually two or three topics further back than where the marks were lost, and we rebuild from there. I would far rather a student asked me something they think is obvious than sat quietly and nodded.”
Every review on this website is from a real family who has paid for lessons or coursework feedback.
Nothing is offered or given in exchange for a review: no discount, credit, gift or free lesson.
Reviews are not edited or filtered to remove criticism. A review may be shortened for length, and only with the reviewer’s agreement.
A review is published only with the permission of the fee-paying parent or the adult student. Nothing that identifies a child is published.
Cognivia Tutoring does not write reviews of itself, and does not ask friends or family to.
If you believe a review here is not genuine, email cogniviatutoring@gmail.com and it will be looked into.
